Vevo Launches Latin Music Video Channels on TelevisaUnivision’s ViX

Vevo has partnered with TelevisaUnivision to launch two Latin-themed 24/7 live music video channels on ViX, targeting audiences on the new free, ad-supported platform.

The partnership kicks off with “Vevo Latino”, which features artists such as Romeo Santos and Shakira and “Vevo Reggaeton & Trap”, which features music from artists such as Karol G and J Balvin. Despite availability elsewhere, bringing Latin music channels to ViX expands access and gives viewers options to navigate content within a streaming service and as Vevo’s Evangelista points out, “our programming teams are working always together to determine unique programming opportunities for ViX and Vevo.”

Meanwhile, the new streamer continues to expand the variety of programming on its free tier while striving to attract multi-generational subscribers.
