The World Review podcast airs twice a week

As the New Statesman’s international team grows, so does our global affairs podcast. World Review launched in June 2020 and recently hit new highs of 15,000 downloads per week. In light of this interest, we are delighted to announce that it will now be released twice a week.

New thursday episode will feature the international team of New Statesman discussing and making sense of the day’s biggest global topics: Jeremy Cliffe, Megan Gibson, Alix Kroeger, Emily Tamkin and Ido Vock. The first of these is now available and features Emily, Alix and Philippa Nuttall, our Environment and Sustainability Editor, discussing the COP26 summit and the Covid-19 wave in Eastern Europe.

New monday episode will be an interview with a New Statesman external contributor or other expert or commentator with a unique perspective on world events. The first, due out on November 1, is a discussion of climate change and the next increase in global migration flows with author and strategist Parag Khanna.

If you’re interested in global affairs and want to join our growing community of listeners, there’s never been a better time to subscribe. As always, all World Review episodes are available here and on all major podcast providers, including Apple, Acast, and Spotify.
