As we all start to get used to our new ways of working, whether it’s remote, in the office, or a mix of the two, it’s important that we develop healthy, positive habits around it.
That’s why, on this week’s Real Health show, I’m sharing my top tips for transforming your workplace health.
One of the simplest changes you can make is to introduce more movement and standing into your day. That doesn’t mean you have to start stuffing crazy exercise regimens into your schedule. It can be as simple as getting up from your desk and taking a regular walk. The goal is to break up long periods of sitting, which we know can have a serious and negative impact on our health.
Working from home can make it difficult to maintain this movement. Introducing some exercise in place of your commute, such as a walk, is an effective way to ensure that you don’t become too sedentary.
On the other hand, if you’re back at the office, consider getting off the train or bus one stop earlier. Or park the car a little further from the front door.
I also talk about the importance of organization, from planning your meals, to managing time and controlling the tasks you have to do.
