Norwegian Prima: New cruise ship with the world’s first dry free-fall slide and three-level circuit

(CNN) – Cruise enthusiasts in search of high-speed thrills have what to expect now that Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled the jaw-dropping amenities aboard its latest ship, Norwegian Prima.

Due to departure in August 2022, Norwegian Prima became the cruise ship most requested ship ever, says the brand, attracting record bookings when it launched in May. And that was before the cruisers even had a chance to see his offerings.
Perhaps the biggest pitfall on board Norwegian Prima will be the Prima Speedway, the largest and the first three-level karting circuit at sea.

The track stretches 1378 feet (approximately 420 meters) and has 14 sharp turns. It can accommodate 15 runners simultaneously, with a section of the track offering a clear view of the ocean.

Go-karts can reach speeds of up to 30 miles per hour, or 50 kilometers per hour.

It’s the cruise line’s most ambitious racetrack to date, but it’s not the first.

Norwegian installed the world’s first cruising kart track on Norwegian Joy (which debuted in 2017), followed by its ships Bliss (2018) and Encore (2019).

More world premieres

Thrill seekers will also be delighted to discover The Drop.

Dubbed the “world’s first dry free-fall slide” offered by a cruise line, it is a 10-story plunging slide that takes passengers scrambling to the side of the ship, “experiencing the most G-force. high of any comparable experience in the cruise industry, ”says a Norwegian press release.

Those who want to add a competitive touch to the skydiving experience can try The Rush, which allows two guests to speed up at the same time.

In addition to a great musical performance, the theater will host interactive reality games familiar to American audiences, such as “The Price is Right”.

Other amenities include an indoor virtual game complex called The Galaxy Pavilion. It will feature 14 attractions, including two escape rooms and the only Topgolf Swing Suite – a type of immersive golf simulator – at sea.

A water park and main pool, including the cruise line’s first Tidal Wave waterslide, will provide more entertainment for passengers.
