EMMETSBOURG – Pedal with Pete Bike Ride for Cerebral Palsy starts at 1:30 p.m. SUNDAY at The Shores in Five Island, Emmetsburg.

MANSON – The Manson Lions Club and the Manson Police Department are hosting the 2021 Manson Bike Rodeo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY in the east parking lot of Manson High School. A lunch of hot dogs, fries and a drink will be served at the end of the rodeo. Skill practices will include how to fix your bike, know about traffic signs, how to cross a railway crossing, cycle down Main Street, balance your bike, bike sprint, balance the slowest, hand signals, how a bike works. stop light and a stroll throughout town putting into practice the skills learned throughout the day. Parents are invited to take part in the walk at the end of the day.

WEBSTER CITY – The 35th Annual Doodle Bug Reunion takes place TODAY and SATURDAY at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds, Webster City. Free entry.

CLARION – St. John’s Catholic Church, Clarion, hosts a Swiss Steak Dinner from 11 am to 1 pm SUNDAY at the church. To take away only. Tickets cost $ 12 and can be purchased at church.

OTHO – The Otho Betterment Committee is holding its fifth annual Chili Cook-off and Bloody Mary competition on SATURDAY at Otho City Park. The public Bloody Mary tasting is from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for $ 5. The public chili tasting is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The price of a bowl and a spoon is $ 5. There will be activities for the kids, a bounce house, a bake sale, concessions, a 50/50 raffle, a grill raffle, a bat raffle and a silent auction. A mixed slow pitch tournament and a sack tournament will be organized as a fundraiser for the fast softball of the young girls in the area.

FORT DODGE – Soldier Creek Winery, 1584 Paragon Ave., runs Bingo from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. SUNDAY. Participants will receive a bingo card for each donation of non-perishable food. All food items received will be returned to the Upper Des Moines Opportunity Pantry. There will be prizes for the winners.

FORT DODGE – Fort Dodge Baseball Association The second annual golf outing takes place SATURDAY at Lakeside Golf Course, 1417 Nelson Ave. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with a shotgun departure at 9 a.m. The cost is $ 200 per team of four. FORT DODGE – Freedom Pointe in the Greater Webster County Friendship Center is hosting a 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mental Health Carnival on SATURDAY at First Avenue North and Ninth Street. There will be games, prizes, snacks, music, special guests and great family entertainment. There will be an evening meal prepared by Chef Lori. Voluntary donations will be accepted.
