Free Bands in Park event returns to Coventry this summer

Bands in the Park returns to Coventry this summer. The event, which offers free mini-concerts to residents, will take place in city parks over the next four months.

The first event took place at War Memorial Park last Saturday (June 5), but it will return next weekend. At Holbrooks Park next Saturday (June 19), the Dene River Jazz Band will be playing live music from 2-3:30 p.m.

The event aims to bring something different to the city and entertain the locals. The afternoons are family and will take place between June and September.

Councilor Abdul Salam Khan, Deputy Leader of Coventry City Council and Cabinet Member for Parks, said: ‘It’s nice to be able to host this much-loved series of mini-concerts again to get people out in the great outdoors. and listen to good music. What better way to spend a summer afternoon than in one of our beautiful parks enjoying fabulous entertainment?

“I hope everyone enjoys this great series of free events and continues to enjoy all of our beautiful parks across the city.”

  • Sunday June 26: Stoke Green Park 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Cubbington Silver Band
  • Sunday July 10: Spencer Park 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Bandicoots Blues Connection
  • Sunday July 17: Allesley Hall 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: City of Coventry Brass
  • Sunday July 24: Longford Park 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Dayspring Steel Pan Band
  • Sunday August 7: War Memorial Park 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Bunny Burrows Big Band
  • Sunday August 14: Spencer Park 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Cubbington Silver Band
  • Sunday August 21: Moulin de Nauls 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Non Stop Bop
  • Sunday September 11: Parc du Château de Caludon 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Phoenix Rock N Roll Band
